At Lifeskills we know that a young person joining the workforce today not only needs the training to do the job accredited courses but also literacy and numeracy aptitude suited for the job, good work habits and personal presentation, time management and the ability to work well with workmates and customers. Our Ready2Work program not only prepares and supports participants to grow these essential skills but helps them to understand the assets they bring to a job, and how their individual talents, strengths, weaknesses, and challenges are the starting point to establishing job satisfaction and confidence in the workplace.
Essential to overcoming barriers to employment is the individual support Lifeskills provides every participant whether they are undertaking workplace experience, placement in our own business enterprises or liaising with external disability and open employment services. Our job ready continuum measures success by assisting all to find their appropriate transition to employment, desire for lifelong learning and contribution to community.
