Based on the Bundoora and Bendigo campuses of La Trobe University, Lifeskills is a government Registered Training Organisation (RTO #20791) and a leading provider of accredited courses to young people identified as disengaged, at risk or living with a disability. The courses and pre-apprenticeship programs provide accessible and flexible options for skill building and on-the-job training, through the Ready2Work Program
Lifeskills focuses on Individual Learning Plans and Participants take full advantage of La Trobe University campus facilities. Our non accredited programs and accredited courses provide the training to enable participants to work in our own business enterprises and qualifications recognised nationally by employers and employment services. If a participant chooses to continue with other learning opportunities, Government recognised training also provides established pathways to other courses and education providers.
Lifeskills recognises the need to work with young people before they leave school, or to offer places to those who have become disengaged from more formal education. Our programs includes transition programs for participants wishing to work for part of the week on accredited courses, Day Programs and/or Ready2Work options whilst still attending other alternative activities.
